Iowa Energy Acquire Jordan Hamilton

Des Moines, Iowa. - The Iowa Energy have acquired and activated former 2011 first round NBA Draft pick Jordan Hamilton, the team announced today .

Hamilton (6-7, 220) most recently was on the roster for the Utah Jazz, before being waived in early November. He did not appear in any games for Utah. The 24-year-old was drafted in the first round (26th overall) by Dallas in the 2011 NBA Draft after playing two years at Texas. Hamilton holds NBA career averages of 5.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists on .406 shooting in 126 games (15 starts) with the Denver Nuggets (2011-2014) and Houston Rockets (2014).

The Energy's home opener is on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena.
