DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers will compete in a Poker Tournament at Prairie Meadows on Thursday, June 16, the team announced.
Iowa Barnstormers players will hit the casino to compete in a Poker Tournament at Prairie Meadows. Twenty Barnstormers players will buy in and compete against fans in a game of Texas Hold'em. Each Barnstormers player will be wearing a specialty throwback jersey throughout the tournament. If a Barnstormers player gets knocked out of the game, the Texas Hold'em competitor who is responsible for their fold will get the jersey off of their back. The tournament will take place on Thursday, June 16 beginning at 7:00 p.m. There is a $50 buy in and a $10 entry fee to compete. Barnstormers coaches and players will be signing autographs prior to the start of the tournament.
The Barnstormers return home to Wells Fargo Arena this Saturday, June 18 to take on the Wichita Falls Nighthawks. The team will be celebrating 90's Night with special in-game activities to honor the decade. Tickets to the game are on sale now for as low as $12.
