Iowa Assigns Cameron to Alaska, Releases Three Others

Des Moines, IA - Iowa Wild General Manager Jim Mill announced on Thursday the American Hockey League (AHL) club has assigned forward Bryan Cameron to the Alaska Aces, Iowa's ECHL affiliate. Mill also announced that goalie Mike Shibrowski, defenseman Joe Stejskal and forward Joe Perry have been released from training camp.

Cameron is a fifth-year pro who spent last season in the Central Hockey League with the Arizona Sundogs. In 58 games with Arizona, Cameron scored 20 goals and totaled 58 points. The Brampton, ON native has played in 60 AHL games over his career, scoring six goals and adding nine assists for 15 points. The 25-year old was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round (#82 overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Iowa wraps up its two-game preseason set with Chicago at the Wolves practice facility in Hoffman Estates, IL. The Wolves will host the Wild on Friday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. at the Triphahn Community Center Ice Arena, located at 1685 W. Higgins Road, Hoffman Estates, IL. Wild fans interested in attending the game may purchase tickets for $8.00 at the main counter of the Triphahn Community Center.

The Iowa Wild 2014-15 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center and begins on the road Oct. 10 in San Antonio. Fans may purchase seats to the Home Opener on Friday, Oct. 17 against the Milwaukee Admirals at Wells Fargo Arena. Season tickets to see the Wild play at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game.
