Intimidators to host Kannapolis vs. Rowan County American Legion Game

Kannapolis, NC – The Kannapolis Intimidators and Kannapolis American Legion Post 501 have reached an agreement that will move the regularly scheduled home contest for Post 501 to Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium on Tuesday, June 13.

"We are thrilled to be able to showcase this highly anticipated game here at our beautiful stadium," says Intimidators GM Tim Mueller. "Anytime we can showcase the region' s best amateur baseball talent and our ballpark at the same time is a good thing. It continues to be a goal of ours to host as many events as we can at the stadium and we have been working on American Legion baseball for some time. It should be a great game!"

Both teams are loaded with talent w/ Post 501's roster featuring Garrett Sherrill, Blake Ketner and Ryan Query fresh off of their first collegiate seasons at Appalachian St.(Sherrill) and Catawba(Ketner and Query). The 501 roster will also feature Northwest Cabarrus standouts Jake Faggart, Jarod Faggart and Kyle Seager. Head coach Empsy Thompsons' Wonders are well represented as well with returning veteran Jay Hosack.

Rowan County Post 342 will also feature numerous players with collegiate and high school state playoff experience. Game time is scheduled for 7:00pm. Tickets are available at the Intimidators box office, by calling (704) 932-FANS or by either of the teams' booster clubs.
