Kannapolis, NC - The Intimidators gave up five runs in the ninth inning to fall 8-3 to Hickory at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium.
The Intimidators tied the game at three in the bottom of the second with a two-run home run off the bat of Danny Jordan for his first home run of the season. A pitchers duel ensued until the ninth when the Crawdads went on a two out rally.
Nathan Jones record the first two outs of the ninth before an infield single to Jose De Los Santos. Austin McClune followed with a single before wild pitch pushed De Los Santos and McClune into scoring position.
Miles Durham drilled a single to bring in both runners to break the tie. Erik Huber then walked before Marcus Davis doubled in both. After a walk to Ronald Pena the Intimidators removed Jones and brought in Henry Mabee. Mabee gave up a run scoring single to Keanon Simon before striking out Bobby Spain to end the frame.
