
Intimidators pound out 14 hits in 10-6 win over Captains

(Eastlake, OH)--The Kannapolis Intimidators pounded out 14 hits Monday night, en route to a 10-6 win over the Lake County Captains at Classic Park.
The Intimidators (13-23) led 10-1 going into the ninth. The Captains (20-16) scored five runs, including a two-run homer by Max Ramirez.
Clayton Richard (5-5) worked seven innings to earn the win for Kannapolis. He scattered three hits and allowed one run.
Albert Vargas (4-12) suffered the loss for the Captains. he gave up four runs on six hits over 4 1/3 innings. It was the ninth straight loss for Vargas, who has not registered a win since May 16th.
Javier Castillo was 3-4 with a home run for the Intimidators. Fernando Valenzuela, Jr. also had three hits.
The Captains will be off on Tuesday, and will beh=gin an eight-game road trip with the first of four games at Greenville, South Carloina, on Wednesday afternoon at 5:05.
