Modesto Nuts News Release

It's been an exciting start to the 2017 season at John Thurman Field. In the first 5 home games of the season the Nuts have 4 wins, including two in their final at-bat.

On Tuesday night, the Nuts battled back to plate two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to push the game to extra innings. While Art Warren worked three hitless innings out of the Nuts very stout bullpen, Gianfranco Wawoe delivered a walk-off RBI single, his second game-winning hit of the year. On the first Saturday at the park Logan Taylor gave the Nuts a sweep of the JetHawks with a walk-off fielder's choice. Taylor has driven in seven runs during the first homestand of the year.
