SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - This season, Minor League Baseball (MiLB) named DeVry University as the "Official Education and Career Development Partner of Minor League Baseball." This summer, MiLB and DeVry University are recognizing outstanding undergraduate and graduate students from the university who demonstrate citizenship, personal and academic leadership, and dedication to their fields of study as the "Student of the Month." Jacquelyn Quintanilla from the DeVry University campus in Colton, California, is one of 25 students nationwide to receive this honor. Quintanilla will be honored Saturday, Aug. 1, at the game against the Bakersfield Blaze.

Quintanilla is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the university's College of Business & Management. Currently on the Dean's List, Quintanilla was recently inducted into Delta Mu Delta, an international honor society that recognizes academic excellence in Baccalaureate, Master's and Doctorate degree business administration programs. On campus, she is a student worker who works with other students and assists during new student orientation. According to the dean of the campus, "Jacquelyn is a student I am most proud of because she has excelled in her time at DeVry, and has persevered and tenaciously works to ensure she stays committed to her studies and improving both her life and the lives of those around her."

"We are honored to help DeVry University celebrate some of its best and brightest students," said Joe Hudson, General Manager of the Inland Empire 66ers. "As a community partner, we welcome the opportunity to provide Jacquelyn with a special ballpark experience and recognize her for her accomplishments."
