Winston-Salem Dash News Release
The Chicago White Sox have announced the following roster moves affecting the Winston-Salem Dash:
- INF Ryan Leonards assigned to Winston-Salem from Double-A Birmingham
- INF Danny Mendick assigned to Low-A Kannapolis from Winston-Salem
Leonards started the season in Winston-Salem and went 6-for-28 (.214) with four runs scored in eight games before earning a promotion to Birmingham on April 26. The former 21st-round pick was 1-for-6 in two games with the Barons.
Mendick played in 11 games with the Dash and hit .129 (4-for-31) with two RBIs and four runs scored. He returns to the Intimidators, with whom he hit .316 (18-for-57) in 17 contests.
The Dash's roster stands at the Carolina League maximum of 25 players (plus one on the disabled list).
