INDIANAPOLIS (Thursday, December 4, 2014) - Like a lead jammer crashing through the pack on the flat track, Indy Eleven Professional Soccer and the Naptown Roller Girls are scoring big points with their fans by expanding their promotional partnership into 2015.

The expanded agreement will allow the popular local sports entities to continue supporting each other's marketing initiatives by increasing exposure across the two fan bases. New centerpieces of the partnership include the Naptown Roller Girls serving as Indy Eleven's Official Promotional Team at the NASL's club's home matches at Carroll Stadium and select events in the community and Indy Eleven serving as a Bout Naming Rights partner for select Naptown Roller Girls bouts, five of six will take place at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

"The popularity of Indy Eleven with Naptown Roller Girls supporters and vice-versa was greater than we anticipated, and we're proud to make our partnership even stronger moving forward," said Indy Eleven President/General Manager Peter Wilt. "As two teams that truly embrace grass roots growth and fans having access to our athletes, this is a perfect fit that will continue to grow in creative ways."

The Naptown Roller Girls will kick off the home portion of their ninth season on Saturday, January 17, when they return to their newly-remodeled home at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. For more information on the Naptown Roller Girls' 2015 home schedule and season ticket plans (regularly costing just under $90, but available for under $70 through Friday) visit www.naptownrollergirls.com. Fans can also keep track of the NRG via their Facebook home, Twitter feed and Instagram page.

"Roller derby and soccer are a natural fit - both sports are tough, competitive, and thrilling to watch," says league spokeswoman Devon "Peyton Slamming" Dean. "Indy Eleven have been great friends to us this past year and we are thrilled to expand our relationship."

Formed in 2006, the Naptown Roller Girls is one of more than 200 flat- and banked-track roller derby leagues around the country. The ladies of NRG's three competing teams - the veteran Tornado Sirens, junior-varsity Warning Belles and rookie team The Third Alarm - have collected bruises, torn tendons, dislocated ankles and broken bones to bring roller derby in all its grit and glory to the Indianapolis area.
