
Cosmos Agree to Contract Extensions with Guenzatti, Gorskie and Chirishian

NEW YORK (December 4, 2014) - The New York Cosmos announced today that the team has signed midfielder Sebastián Guenzatti, defender Hunter Gorskie and midfielder Hagop Chirishian to contract extensions for the 2015 season. As per club policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Guenzatti, 23, signed with the Cosmos before the 2013 season and has scored five goals in 32 appearances for the team. The Uruguayan midfielder from Queens, N.Y. finished the 2014 season tied for second on the team in scoring with four goals and three assists in 22 appearances.
Gorskie, 23, joined the Cosmos in April 2013 after playing at Stanford University and for the San Jose Earthquakes reserve team. After starting eight games for the Cosmos in 2013, Gorskie made 13 appearances for the team in the 2014 regular season playing as both a central defender and as an outside back.
Chirishian, 25, signed with the Cosmos before the 2013 season. After making seven appearances for the team in the 2013 season, Chirishian scored his first goal for the Cosmos in a 2-0 win over the Brooklyn Italians in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on May 28, 2014. During the 2014 season, Chirishian scored two more goals and recorded one assist in 14 NASL appearances for the Cosmos.
The team also announced that it did not reach a new agreement with Joseph Nane and that the midfielder will not return for the 2015 season.
