FC Edmonton News Release
With all 24 teams now qualified, the stage is set for the FIFA Women's World Cup Official Draw.
The FIFA Edmonton organizing committee & FC Edmonton would like to invite you to join us, Saturday, December 6, as we celebrate this exciting milestone right here in Edmonton, and find out which countries will be coming to our city in June!
While the Official Draw will be held at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Québec, the FIFA Edmonton organizing committee & FC Edmonton will host a public viewing event at The Pint downtown, 10125 109 street (sorry, no minors!).
Doors open at 9:30 a.m. with the draw broadcast LIVE from 10:00-11:00 a.m., followed by a special half hour post-draw discussion and analysis, including breaking down Canada's group, a look at the Group of Death, and interviews with coaches, players and tournament ambassadors in Gatineau.
TSN 1260's own Jason Gregor will join us onsite to provide commentary throughout the morning and share his thoughts on the draw results.
There will be prize giveaways throughout the morning, full breakfast menu available for purchase, and mimosas, coffee & Baileys, and pints of Bud Light all on special for $5! Free parking is available onsite behind the The Pint.
