Indoor Tailgate Party Plans Announced

Brandon, MB. - The Brandon Wheat Kings, in association with Jumparoo Brandon and the Keystone Centre, have announced plans for Friday night's Tailgate Party, to be held in advance of the Brandon Sun Home Opener against the visiting Winnipeg ICE.

The Tailgate Party will be held from 5:00-7:00pm in the MNP Hall, located across from the Keystone Box office on the main concourse.

In addition to pizza, hot dogs and beverages, there will be face painting, inflatables and Bumper Cars for the kids as well as a special visit from two popular members of the PAW Patrol - Chase and Sky.

Music to be provided by 94.7 Star FM.

Doors to Westoba Place open at 6:30pm and fans are encouraged to come early for a special pre-game show that will include a number of exciting elements, including the unveiling of the Keystone Centre's brand new center ice Video Scoreboard.

As well, there will be a ceremonial opening face-off that will feature three newly elected members of the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame - longtime WHL official Rob Haithwaite, Bob Fitchner and Trevor Kidd.

Both Fitchner and Kidd are former members of the Wheat Kings and will be two of five ex-Wheat Kings inducted early next month in Winnipeg, joining Kelly McCrimmon, Terry Yake and Marty Murray.

The show inside the arena is set to begin at 7:20pm.

As of Thursday morning, 3,400 tickets had been sold for the game.
