INDIANAPOLIS -- Left fielder Nyjer Morgan blooped a single to center with the bases loaded and no outs in the bottom of the ninth to give Indianapolis a 3-2, walk-off win over Columbus Monday evening at Victory Field.

The Indians improve to 43-49 overall and 22-23 at home, while the Clippers fall to 51-39 on the season and 28-21 on the road.

Morgan's only base knock of the night extended his season-best hitting streak to 10 games and completed a two-run rally in the Tribe's final at-bat.

SS Brian Bixler opened the ninth with an infield single before PH Matt Kata put two runners in scoring position with a double to left. C Carlos Maldonado followed with an RBI single to center, which tied the game at two.

Columbus then intentionally passed 2B Luis Ordaz to load the bags and set up the game's final at-bat.

The Clippers slip to 44-2 when leading after eight innings, while the Indians improve to 3-39 when trailing after eight frames.

The Tribe's ninth-inning rally erased Columbus' two-run eighth. RF Ryan Langerhans and 3B Yurendell de Caster drew back-to-back walks that inning and eventually scored on C Luke Montz's single to center.

Indianapolis plated the game's first run in the fourth when CF Andrew McCutchen reached on an infield single, advanced to third on 3B Neil Walker's single to center and trotted to the dish on RF Adam Boeve's sacrifice fly.

Indians RHP Franquelis Osoria (1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 BB) notched the win in his first his Major League rehab outing of the season, while Clippers LHP Mike Bacsik (1.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 SO) fell to 7-4 with the loss.

Neither starter -- Columbus RHP Shairon Martis (7.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 5 SO) or Indianapolis RHP Jimmy Barthmaier (6.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 6 SO) -- figured in the decision.

CF Pete Orr led the Clippers by collecting a single, double and triple in four at-bats.

McCutchen (2-for-2, 1 R), Walker (2-for-4), Maldonado (2-for-3, 1 RBI) and Bixler (2-for-4, 1 R) registered two hits apiece for the Indians.

The teams continue their four-game series on Tuesday at 7 p.m. RHP Marco Estrada is scheduled to start for Columbus, while LHP Corey Hamman is expected to get the nod for Indianapolis.

The contest will be carried by WXLW-950 AM and www.IndyIndians.com with Howard Kellman and Scott McCauley. The pre-game show begins at 6:40 p.m.

It will be another "Qdoba 2-for-1 Tuesday" as 2-for-1 coupons are available at participating central Indiana Qdoba Mexican Grill locations.
