SPOKANE, WA - The Indians jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first two innings of play, but the Boise Hawks came roaring back with seven unanswered runs and ended up winning 15-4, increasing their lead in the Northwest League East Division to three and half games.

Recently promoted from the Arizona Rookie League, Eric Fry hit his first home run in Single-A ball, a two-run shot that was crushed over the centerfield fence in the bottom of the second. However, Boise struck back with a score in the third and then exploded for six runs in the fourth frame to go up 7-2.

Jonathan Greene and Kenny Smith also had RBIs for Spokane in the game, with Greene knocking in his 24th RBI of the season. He's now one of the hottest batters in the Northwest League, batting .304 with a .375 on-base percentage and a league-leading .646 slugging percentage.

There was a 17-minute rain delay in the sixth inning as a thunderstorm rumbled past Avista Stadium, but play quickly resumed.

The Hawks scored at least one run in each of the final four innings of the game en route to a 15-4 victory. Indians starter Ryan Tatusko (1-3) picked up the loss after giving up six runs in 3.1 innings of work. Spokane as a staff walked 11 batters and struck out six.

The final game of the series between the Indians and Hawks will take place tomorrow for Baseball Hat Night presented by Pepsi, Arby's and The Inlander.
