
Impact Acquires International Roster Spot

MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced on Monday the acquisition of an international roster spot for the 2016 season from the Portland Timbers in return for American defender Zarek Valentin.
The Impact now has nine international spots on its roster for 2016.
The team, which will start its training camp on January 26, will kick off its season on March 6 against the Whitecaps FC, at BC Place, in Vancouver, at 5:30pm ET (RDS, TSN) and will then play its home opener on Saturday March 12, at the Olympic Stadium against the regular season defending champions New York Red Bulls.
