D.C. United News Release
WASHINGTON - D.C. United have signed goalkeeper Andrew Dykstra to a new contract. Per league and club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Dykstra, 29, made nine MLS appearances for the Black-and-Red in 2015 (all starts), while starting all four matches in the 2015-16 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League group stage and both matches in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. He was nominated for MLS Save of the Week four times, winning the award in Week 14 for his penalty save against Chicago's Jeff Larentowicz.
"We are very excited to have signed Andrew to a new contract," General Manager and VP of Soccer Operations Dave Kasper said. "His reliability and locker room presence are irreplaceable. The coaching staff and players are very confident when Andrew's number is called."
