FRISCO, Texas - NBA G League Ignite (2-22) fell to the Texas Legends (12-10), 132-111, on Tuesday at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas.
Tyler Smith led the way for Ignite with a final stat line of 24 points, nine rebounds and two blocks on 9-of-18 shooting from the field. Dink Pate followed with 16 points, nine assists, four rebounds and two steals. Izan Almansa added 16 points, five rebounds and two assists, while Gabe York posted 13 points and nine rebounds.
Brandon Williams paced the Legends with a triple-double of 33 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds on 13-of-21 shots from the field. Olivier-Maxence Prosper followed with 26 points, eight rebounds and two steals, while Theo Pinson provided 20 points, nine assists, four rebounds and two steals.
Ignite fell behind early after the Legends took a 14-point lead with 7:14 remaining in the first quarter behind their hot shooting start. Ignite managed to weather the storm after closing the quarter on a 25-7 run to cut its deficit to four points. The Legends extended its lead by 15 points in the second quarter en route to take a 68-54 advantage at the halfway mark. Olivier-Maxence Prosper recorded 20-first half points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field, including 4-of-5 from behind the arc, as the Legends regain control of the game. The Legends extended its lead by 25 points in the second half after Brandon Williams poured in 24 of his 33 points to coast to the victory.
