FRISCO, Texas - NBA G League Ignite (2-23) faced defeat to the Texas Legends (13-10), 117-112, on Wednesday at Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas.
Ignite was led by Michael Frazier with a final stat line of 25 points, seven rebounds and four assists on 12-of-21 shooting from the field. Gabe York followed with 17 points, six rebounds and three assists, while Tyler Smith added 14 points, eight rebounds and two assists. Dink Pate notched his first career double-double with 12 points and a season-high 11 assists.
Jordan Walker led the Legends after posting a game-high 43 points with seven rebounds and seven assists on 14-of-26 shots from the field, including 7-of-17 from behind the arc. Theo Pinson recorded a triple-double with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, while Tyler Hall contributed 20 points and five rebounds.
Ignite pulled out an early seven-point advantage midway through the first quarter. The Legends responded with a 19-4 run to close the period with an eight-point lead (29-21) behind Tyler Hall, who drained three three-pointers during that span. The Legends continued to apply pressure through the first half and extended its lead by 23 points in the second quarter. Jordan Walker erupted in the second quarter after pouring in 20 of his 25 points in the frame on 6-of-9 shots from the field, including 3-of-6 from behind the arc. Ignite managed to chip away late to cut its deficit to 15 points at the halfway mark (67-52). After a strong start in the third quarter, Ignite only trailed by eight points with 5:46 remaining in the frame. The Legends regained momentum and ended the quarter with a 14-point lead. Jordan Walker's stellar night continued in the fourth quarter after scoring 11 of the team's 23 points to help the Legends secure the victory.
