
Ignacio Piatti Named Alcatel MLS Player of the Week

Impact midfielder Ignacio Piatti was named Alcatel MLS Player of the Week on Friday for Week 16. Piatti got on the scoresheet twice on Wednesday at Stade Saputo, scoring two goals in a 3-0 win against Orlando City SC.
Piatti was also selected on the league's Team of the Week for the fourth time this season.
Nacho scored from the spot in the fifth minute, before finding the back of the net again in second half stoppage time. He leads the team in scoring this season with seven goals and six assists.
The Argentinean now has 54 goals in MLS since joining the club in 2014. On May 5 against the New England Revolution, he passed Patrice Bernier for most career assists in club history in MLS with 27, and most career game-winning assists with 11. He also became the third player in club history to reach 100 career games in MLS with the Impact.

The Impact will have a ten-day break for the beginning of the FIFA World Cup, before returning the favour to the Floridians and visiting Orlando City SC on Saturday, June 23 at 7:30pm at Orlando City Stadium (TVA Sports, 98,5fm, TSN Radio 690). The Bleu-blanc-noir will then host a former rival gone West, Sporting Kansas City, on Saturday, June 30 at 7pm (TICKETS - TVA Sports, TSN, 98,5fm, TSN Radio 690).
