
IceRays Fall to Jamestown 4-1

BLAINE, MN - In the third game of the 2012 NAHL Showcase, the Corpus Christi IceRays fell to the Jamestown Ironmen by a 4-1 margin inside the Schwan Super Rinks in Minnesota.
The Ironmen kicked off the scoring 6:56 into the game. Ex-IceRay Payden Mielke took a shot from the point and got deflected by Jeff McFarland past goaltender Jett Salinas for a 1-0 lead.
After no goals were recorded in the second frame, Jamestown increased the lead to two goals off the stick of Tyler Dunagan who forced a turnover and beat Salinas top shelf 6:07 into the third.
The Ironmen put the game at a two three goal deficit with an assist from Ross Pavek with only 5:35 left in the game.
Ian McGilvrey gave the IceRays life with only 3:47 left in regulation on the power-play to pull the squad within two.
Jamestown tacked on an empty net goal with one second left to seal a 4-1 victory.
Corpus Christi was outshot 36 to 22 and Jett Salinas was stellar stopping 32 of 35.
The IceRays take the ice with Johnstown to finish out the Showcase. Puck drops at 12:30PM, coverage begins at 12:15PM with the IceRays Pregame Show on Sportsjuice.com, fasthockey.com, and the TuneIn Radio APP.
