The Rockford IceHogs wrapped up an exciting weekend with an 8-0 win over the Muskegon Fury, setting a new team record for most wins (47) in a season. Rockford fans also helped the Hogs raise over $56,000 with the IceHogs 7th Annual Jersey Auction for charity on Friday night. Two games remain on the 2005-06 regular season schedule for Rockford as they enter the final week of play.

Transactions
-Defenseman Tom Zabkowicz was placed on Team Suspension on Friday, April 7.
-Winger Chaz Johnson was reassigned to the IceHogs from the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) on Friday, April 7.
-Defenseman Corey Hessler was activated from the 7-Day IR on Friday, April 7.
-Winger Bruce Watson was activated from Team Suspension on Friday, April 7.
-Goaltender Brendan Cuthbert was signed on Thursday, April 6.
Bacon Bits:
Rockford recorded its 47th win of the season on Sunday, establishing a new club record for most wins in a season.
The IceHogs set a club record for most home wins in a season Sunday, picking up its 27th win at the MetroCentre.
Rockford also set a new club high with 102 standings points.
IceHogs fans helped raise over $56,000 on Friday night during Rockford's 7th Annual Jersey Auction for charity. In seven auctions, the Hogs have raised nearly $375,000 for local charities.
Center Preston Mizzi set a club record Saturday when he notched four goals against Muskegon.
Mizzi's hat trick was his second of the campaign and Rockford's seventh overall, a new team high for hat tricks in a single season.
Rookie goaltender Brendan Cuthbert earned a shutout in his first start in an IceHogs uniform. His 42 saves were tied for most by a rookie goalie in a win and most in a shutout win.
Defenseman Steve Pelletier broke the Hogs club record for consecutive games played, as he has appeared in 153 straight games for Rockford.
Winger Robin Big Snake broke Rockford's single season penalty minute record over the weekend and currently has 423 PIM's on the campaign, most in the UHL.
The IceHogs have held Muskegon, the top ranked power play in the UHL, to 0-for-15 on the advantage in two games at the MetroCentre this season.
Rockford's 8-0 win over Muskegon equaled a club mark for largest margin of victory at home. The IceHogs beat Missouri 9-1 earlier this season to set the record.
The eight-goal win marked the third time this season in which Rockford has won a game by eight tallies. The Hogs also beat Elmira 10-2 on March 8.
The starting goaltender in two of those three games was Nick Boucher (for Elmira and Muskegon yesterday).
Hot Hog Week 25:
Winger Greg Barber is the IceHogs Player of the Week for Week 25. The winger continued his impressive season with a goal and three assists over the weekend.
Upcoming Games:
Friday, April 14 vs. Flint Generals. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Rockford begins the final week of the 2005-06 regular season with a contest against the Flint Generals at the Rockford MetroCentre. The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive IceHogs Poster #6 in a series of 7, courtesy of Medicine Man, Johnson Press, Jim Orlando Photography, Pepsi and the Rockford Register Star.
Saturday, April 15 vs. Muskegon Fury. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. The final regular season game of the season for Rockford as the Fury return to Rockford. It's Fan Appreciation Day with the IceHogs on Saturday and the Hogs will present the 2005-06 Season Awards prior to face-off.
