
IceDogs Lead Team OHL to Victory Over Team Russia

Team OHL defeated Team Russia 10-7 in Ottawa on Thursday night, in the first of two games between the two clubs in the Subway Super Series. Niagara IceDogs forward Freddie Hamilton led the offence for the OHL, notching a hat trick and an assist, earning the Player of the Game distinction.
Teammates Ryan Strome (2 goals, 1 assist) and Dougie Hamilton (2 assists) also chipped in offensively for the win. Mark Visentin made 13 saves, playing the first half of the hockey game before handing over the goaltending duties to Andrew D'Agostini.
All four players will now return to the IceDogs lineup in time to face the Battalion in Brampton on Friday, before hosting the Windsor Spitfires on Saturday night at the Gatorade Garden City Complex.
