Niagara IceDogs News Release
Tonight, your Niagara IceDogs were back in the Meridian Centre, facing off against the North Bay Battalion.
The Battalion got a goal early in the first, making it 1-0 after 20 minutes of play.
Niagara came out hot in the second period, with Danil Gushchin scoring his 23rd goal of the season and Anthony Agostinelli tallying his 2nd. North Bay was able to match it, scoring shortly after.
After 40 minutes, the score was 2-2.
The third period remained scoreless, forcing the game into overtime. However, overtime solved nothing and the game was sent into shootout.
The IceDogs dominated the shootout, with goals from Anthony Agostinelli, Liam Van Loon and Brice Cooke.
Ultimately, the IceDogs took the win 3-2! They're back in action on Thursday when they face off against the Erie Otters.
