
IceCats Sent Two from St. Louis Blues

Worcester, MA- The Worcester IceCats of the American Hockey League today confirmed several transactions involving the club's goaltenders.
Goaltender Reinhard Divis was recently loaned to the IceCats by their NHL affiliate, the St. Louis Blues. The Vienna, Austria born Divis began the 2002-2003 season with the Blues as a result of an injury to Brent Johnson. Divis, who officially became the first Austrian to play in the NHL last season when he appeared in relief, made his first career NHL start on October 15th against Carolina. The 27 year-old garnered his first win in that game. He was 2-0 with a .971 save percentage and a 0.72 GAA. Last season with the IceCats, the 6'0", 200 lb goalie appeared in 55 games, posting a 28-20-5 record and a 2.59 GAA.
Tuesday afternoon, goaltender Curtis Sanford was officially returned on loan from the St. Louis Blues to the Worcester IceCats. The Owen-Sound, Ontario native made his NHL debut, in relief, on October 17th against Columbus. The third year netminder made his first NHL start and earned his first win on October 19th versus the Dallas Stars. The 23 year-old posted a record of 5-4 and a .922 save percentage in nine games with Worcester last season.
Also on Tuesday, the St. Louis Blues reassigned Cody Rudkowsky to the Trenton Titans of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).
The IceCats next Centrum Centre game is Friday, November 22nd at 7:05 PM against the Portland Pirates. The first 1,000 kids, 12 and under, will receive an IceCats Backpack.
