
Moose To Be Seen On Rogers Sportsnet This Season

Today the Manitoba Moose, in conjunction with the American Hockey League and Rogers Sportsnet, announced that four Manitoba Moose road games will be televised in the Winnipeg area during the 2002-03 season.
The first road game broadcast on Rogers Sportsnet involving the Moose will be on Friday, January 31 against the Hamilton Bulldogs. Game time for the January 31 match will be 6:30 p.m. Central Time. The next night will feature both teams battling again on Rogers Sportsnet at 6:00 p.m. The final two Moose regular season games will also been shown on Rogers Sportsnet. On Wednesday, April 2 and Friday, April 4, the Moose will be visiting the St. John's Maple Leafs and game time both nights will be 5:00 p.m. Central Time.
"This is an exciting opportunity for people in Winnipeg to follow the team on the road," commented Manitoba Moose Chief Operating Officer Robert Thorsten. "We are extremely pleased that Rogers Sportsnet has embraced AHL hockey and created a schedule to highlight Canadian Division teams including the Manitoba Moose."
The Rogers Sportsnet AHL broadcast schedule starts on Wednesday, November 20 when Hamilton hosts the St. John's Maple Leafs.
