IceCats Reduce Roster by Seven

WORCESTER, MA – St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President and General Manager Larry Pleau today announced that the IceCats have trimmed their roster by seven players. Five forwards and two defensemen have been released by the Worcester IceCats.

Today's announcement comes on the heels of Sunday's reassignment by St. Louis. Sunday afternoon the Blues reassigned goaltenders Reinhard Divis and Curtis Sanford, defensemen Mike Stuart and Tom Koivisto and forward Igor Valeev to Worcester.

Worcester now has 33 players in camp: 29 skaters and four goaltenders.

The Blues currently have 30 players in camp: 17 forwards, 11 defensemen and two goaltenders.

The IceCats will play two exhibition games this weekend, including Friday at 7 PM at the New England Sports Center in Marlboro.

The IceCats will open their 2003-2004 regular season at home on Saturday, October 11th against the Providence Bruins at 7:05 PM. Season ticket packages are on sale now at the IceCats offices, located at 105 Commercial Street in downtown Worcester.
