HERSHEY â The HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the Colorado Avalanche that Brian Willsie has been assigned from Colorado's training camp in Denver.
Willsie scored a career-high 29 goals for HERSHEY in just 59 games played during the 2002-03 season. He played in 12 games for the Colorado Avalanche, recording one assist and 15 penalty minutes. Willsie scored goals in six consecutive games from November 16th to December 6th, a team season high. He scored goals in five straight games from January 10th to January 18th and was recalled on March 12th for the remainder of the season to Colorado. He scored the game-winning goal for Colorado against the Minnesota Wild in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals, and led HERSHEY IN goals (29), power play goals (11), short-handed goals (4), and game winning goals (8) during the 2002-03 season.
The BEARS will play two home exhibition games this weekend at GIANT Center, Tickets for both home exhibition games on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5 will be $7. As in previous years, all parking will be free for both the Saturday game against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Sunday's game with Binghamton.
The BEARS open up the home portion of the 2003-04 season on Saturday, October 18th at GIANT Center. Season ticket information is available by calling 520-5796. Several different season ticket plans are available. Group ticket information for the October 18th home opener and all Bears home games is available by calling 534-3323. Ticket information is also available for the NHL exhibition game between the Philadelphia Flyers and the New York Islanders on Thursday, October 2nd at GIANT Center.
