IceCaps Release Josh Godfrey from PTO

The St. John's IceCaps announced today they have released defenceman Josh Godrey from his professional tryout contract.

Godrey, 25, played in four games with the IceCaps since signing his PTO on Mar. 1/13. He played the majority of the 2012-13 season with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL, appearing in 33 games. In that time, the right-handed defenceman recorded nine points (4G, 5A) and 23 penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Washington Capitals in the second round, 34th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
