WEEK IN REVIEW

Tuesday, April 9th : at St. John's 3, Portland 2

The Pirates came back from a two goal deficit, but the IceCaps' Ray Sawada would get the game winner just two minutes after the tying goal. Phil Lane and Brendan Shinnimin had the Pirates goals.

Wednesday, April 10th : at St. John's 4, Portland 3

The Pirates again came back from a two goal deficit to tie the game, but the IceCaps scored twice to put the game out of reach. Darian Dziurzynski, Jordan Martinook, and David Rundblad provided the Pirates offense. St. John's tied the season series at 4 games apiece with their third straight win over Portland.

Sunday, April 14th : Hershey 6, Portland 3

Hershey used 5 power play goals to defeat the Pirates by a 6-3 score. New Pirates Troy Bodie, acquired from the Norfolk Admirals on Wednesday, had two goals in his Pirates debut, and Maxim Goncharov tallied his second goal of the year.

THIS COMING WEEK

Tuesday, April 16th at Bridgeport (7 PM)

The Pirates travel to Bridgeport for their first of 3 meetings in the season's final week. Puck drop is at 7 from the Webster Bank Arena

Friday, April 19th vs. Bridgeport (7 PM)

Portland returns home to face the Sound Tigers on Friday. Puck drop is at 7 from the Cumberland County Civic Center.

Saturday, April 20th vs. Connecticut (7 PM)

The Pirates will cap their regular season home schedule against the CT Whale on Saturday night. Puck drop is at 7 PM.

Sunday, April 21st vs. Bridgeport (3 PM)

The Pirates cap the regular season schedule on Sunday with their 3rd game of the week against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Puck drop is at 3 from Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport.

SALTY PETE'S PIRATES OF THE WEEK

1) Troy Bodie had two goals in his first game as a Pirate Sunday against the Hershey Bears

2) Darian Dziurzynski had 2 assists and a goal this week and is now on a 3 game point streak

3) Lucas Lessio made his professional debut for Portland on Sunday against Hershey
