
Hirschfeld Returns to Providence

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, in their 21st season in the American Hockey League, announced today that forward Alden Hirschfeld has been recalled on loan from the South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL). The Bruins roster is now comprised of 30 players, including three goaltenders, nine defensemen and 18 forwards
Since being returned on loan to the Stingrays on April 3, the forward skated in four playoff games and recorded one assist. The Stingrays were swept by the Gwinnett Gladiators in the first round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
Hirschfeld, 25, has four goals and four assists in 35 games with the Bruins this season. In 18 games with South Carolina this season, the 6'1", 206-pound forward has 4-4-8 totals.
Hirschfeld is a four-year product of Miami University (Ohio) where he recorded 70 points on 35 goals and 35 assists. As a team tri-captain in 2011-12, the forward was one of only three players who skated in all 41 games for the RedHawks. He scored a collegiate-best 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points as a junior.
The Bruins return to The Dunk on Friday, April 19 versus the Springfield Falcons. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. for Keychain Night.
