St. John's IceCaps News Release
ST. JOHN'S, NL (November 6, 2015) - The St. John's IceCaps and RDS announced today the Quebec-based sports speciality network (Rogers, Channel 32) will televise 12 upcoming IceCaps home games.
Danny Williams, President and CEO of the IceCaps, says the organization is pleased to have the opportunity to promote St. John's as one of North America's premiere hockey cities.
"Just like Montreal, St. John's boasts rabid hockey fans and now our French-language friends will get a sense of the great atmosphere the IceCaps enjoy at Mile One Centre," said Mr. Williams. "With the IceCaps lineup loaded with future Montreal Canadiens stars, I have no doubt viewers of RDS will be excited to see first-hand how these prospects are developing here in Newfoundland and Labrador."
"We are excited to offer Montreal Canadiens fans the opportunity to see the evolution of the organization's best prospects including Nikita Scherbak, Michael McCarron and Zachary Fucale" said Robert Turcotte, Vice President Programming RDS . "This association is a natural complement to our partnership with the Montreal Canadiens and we are eager to help expand the pool of IceCaps supporters among hockey fans."
