
Tampa Bay Lightning Reassign Defenseman Nikita Nesterov, Forward Tye McGinn to Crunch

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned defenseman Nikita Nesterov and forward Tye McGinn to the Syracuse Crunch, Lightning vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today.
Nesterov, 5-foot-11, 191 pounds, has played in six games with the Lightning this season, averaging 15:21 in ice time per game. He has played in 33 career NHL games, all with the Lightning, notching two goals and seven points with a plus-5 rating. Nesterov made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut last season, recording a goal and six points in 17 games.
A native of Chelyabinsk, Russia, Nesterov has skated in 86 career AHL games, all with the Crunch. During that time he has registered seven goals and 30 points.
Nesterov was a fifth round selection of the Lightning, 148th overall, during the 2011 NHL Draft.
McGinn, 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, was recalled to the Lightning on Nov. 1 and appeared in two games. He averaged 8:32 of ice time and recorded one shot on goal. McGinn has played in eight games for Syracuse this season, tallying three assists with a plus-2 rating. His 15 penalty minutes rank third on the Crunch. McGinn has played in 171 career AHL games, recording 46 goals and 82 points with 176 penalty minutes.
McGinn was signed by the Lightning on July 21, 2015. He was drafted by the Flyers in the fourth round, 119th overall, of the 2010 NHL Draft.
