A day after 2-22-22, Winnipeg ICE goaltenderGage Alexander, who wears jersey number 33, made 33 saves as the ICE earned a 3-2 decision Wednesday night at Enmax Centre over the Lethbridge Hurricanes for Winnipeg's 33rd victory of the season.

Skyler Bruce, Conor Geekie and Matthew Savoie scored as the ICE improved their record to 33-8-2-1, moving to within six points of Edmonton for first place in the Eastern Conference standings. Winnipeg has six games in hand on the Oil Kings.

Corson Hopwo and Kade Nolan replied for the Hurricanes who fall to 20-23-2-1.

Bryan Thompson stopped 35 of 38 Winnipeg shots.

The ICE led 2-0 after the first period and 3-0 through 40 minutes.

Both teams went 0/5 on the power play.

The ICE continue their seven game road trip Friday in Medicine at 8:00pm Central vs the Tigers (7:30 pregame show on CFRW 1290).
