
Ice Flyers Sign Jeff Sapieha; Place Mike Carter on 30-Day IR

The Ice Flyers have signed forward Jeff Sapieha. To make room for Sapieha, the Flyers have placed Mike Carter on 30-day injured reserve.
Sapieha stands at 6', weighs in at 190 lbs., shoots right, and hails from Calgary, Alberta. He played for the University of Connecticut for four seasons from 2007-2011. During his 4 years there, he played in 135 games with 7 goals, 27 assists, and 117 penalty minutes.
Sapieha will wear #28 and will be in the lineup this weekend as Ice Flyers host the Fayetteville FireAntz tonight and tomorrow afternoon in the Hangar. Tonight's game time is at the usual 7:05 while tomorrow's puck drop is at 3:05.
