Pensacola, Fla. - July 17, 2012 - The Pensacola Ice Flyers have set their schedule for the 2012-13 regular season in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL).

The Ice Flyers will renew the rivalry from last season's President's Cup Finals as they take on the Columbus Cottonmouths on the road to start the season. After spending the first weekend as the visiting team, the Ice Flyers return for their home opener on Friday, Nov. 2 versus their I-10 rival, the Mississippi Surge.

The Ice Flyers will play 28 homes games and 28 away games that include 12 against the Surge (six in Pensacola, six in Biloxi) and 12 times battling the Louisiana IceGators (six in Pensacola, six in Lafayette, LA). They will play eight times each versus the Mississippi RiverKings and the Columbus Cottonmouths, playing four in Pensacola and four on the road in Southaven, MS and Columbus, GA.

The Ice Flyers round off their 56-game schedule by playing the Augusta RiverHawks and Fayetteville FireAntz five times each, and the Knoxville Ice Bears and Huntsville Havoc three times each.

The organization is planning new and exciting theme nights for their home games that will be released at a later date. However, some of the staple theme nights will remain, such as Military Appreciation, Mardi Gras, Race Night and Fan Appreciation Nights.
