Ice Dogs Sending Six To AHL Camps
September 23, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release
LONG BEACH, Calif. â Ice Dogs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Malcolm Cameron, announced today that six Ice Dogs players will be attending American Hockey League training camps prior to their arrival in Long Beach.
Evan Cheverie will be attending the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks camp, Chris Madden and Nathan Martz will be with the Rochester Americans, Dan Watson will be with the Milwaukee Admirals, and Marco Rosa and Gary Zinck will be trying out with the Ice Dogs affiliate, Hamilton Bulldogs. Cheverie, Madden and Watson have all spent time in the AHL, but Rosa, Zinck and Martz will be trying to crack the roster for the first time.
AHL camps typically start at least one week prior to ECHL camps, so those players being returned to Long Beach will be available prior to the start of the regular season. The Ice Dogs will open camp on October 8th, and are scheduled to play their first of two preseason games versus San Diego on October 15th at 7:30pm at Glacial Gardens in Lakewood.
Season tickets for the 2004-2005 season are on sale now in all price ranges. The Ice Dogs are guaranteeing the playoffs or season ticket holders will receive a $50 rebate on each seat purchased. Don't miss the season opener, October 22nd versus the San Diego Gulls. Call (562) ICE-DOGS or visit www.icedogs.com for more information.
