Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release
Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots, under the ownership group of Hockey Enterprises of Pensacola L.L.C. with owner Tim Kerr, announced their most sincere wishes that everyone affected by Hurricane Ivan is safe and on their way to a full recovery. This was a terrible tragedy that affected the entire Gulf Coast, and on behalf of everyone in the entire organization, we hope for nothing but the best for everyone.
The Ice Pilots organization would also like to thank all disaster relief staff, volunteers, governmental organizations, out of state workers and everyone else that has helped in the rebuilding effort in the community. Your services are greatly appreciated, and we as a community would not be as far along as we already are without your help.
At this time, Ice Pilots management is continuing to work closely with SMG/Pensacola Civic Center management and the ECHL to determine the status of the 2004-05 season. The Pensacola Civic Center did sustain some damage as a result of the hurricane, and the Ice Pilots offices did as well. The Ice Pilots office is still closed until further notice. As soon as an official determination about the upcoming season is made, it will be immediately announced through the media and Ice Pilots web site at icepilots.com.
