Ice Dogs Announce Reserve List

Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release


LONG BEACH, Calif. – June 12, 2003 – The Long Beach Ice Dogs Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Kevin Kaminski announced today their reserve list for the 2003-04 ECHL season. As per League policy, ECHL member teams could protect a maximum of 20 players, retaining the players' rights who either was listed on the club's 20-man playoff roster or the final regular season roster (for non-playoff teams) during the 2002-03 season.

Protected Playing Rights of:

CRAIG LYONS – Forward
JEFF ATTARD – Forward
CHRIS PEYTON – Defenseman
TOMAS HRADECKY – Forward
TYREL FRISKY – Forward
TRENT CLARK – Forward

Ice Dogs players not on the protected list are considered free agents and may entertain offers from other clubs. The Ice Dogs must make a qualifying offer on or before July 1, 2003 to those mentioned above. Lyons and Attard have already agreed to terms with the club on April 30 and May 13 respectively.

"This is the core group of guys that I intend to have back this season," said Kaminski. "I feel that they're the ones that can contribute the most. We need to improve on all fronts heading into this season."

The Ice Dogs' begin their inaugural ECHL season, eighth in Long Beach, on Fri., Oct. 17 at Roanoke, VA, and host their home opener on Sat., Nov. 1 against the Bakersfield Condors at the Long Beach Arena at 7 p.m.
