Knoxville Ice Bears News Release
Knoxville, TN - (September 11, 2013) The Knoxville Ice Bears Head Coach Mike Craigen announces the return of goalie Bryan Hince.
Hince, a native from Kapuskasing, Canada, will return to Knoxville for his fourth season. The 6-foot, 172 pound goaltender is one of the top in the league, with a GAA of 2.16 during the 2012-13 season with the Ice Bears.
"He's extremely competitive and hates to be scored on," said Mike Craigen, "It'll be fun to see what we can accomplish with him in the net for a full season."
Prior to starting his professional career, Hince played two years at SUNY-Plattsburgh where he played 53 games and registered a 1.985 GAA over two seasons. To start the 2011-12 season, Hince established an SPHL record by winning his first 12 games of the season en route to an 18 -1 record. This unprecedented start earned him a call up to the ECHL's Greenville Road Warriors.
Hince currently holds the all-time SPHL record in save percentage with .917. The Ice Bears are looking forward to his return and are anticipating a lot out of the athletic, highly competitive goalie.
The Knoxville Ice Bears will be holding training camp October 14 - 24 and is open to the public. A home exhibition game will be held on Friday, October 18. Regular season tickets go on sale October 1, 2013. For more information, visit www.knoxvilleicebears.com or call (865) 525-7825.
