
Hustle Split Back-To-Back with Rio Grande Valley

Memphis Hustle News Release
The Memphis Hustle (1-1), the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, fell to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (1-1), 134-117, to split a back-to-back series at Landers Center.
GG Jackson II scored a career-high 32 points and nine rebounds to lead the Hustle on a two-way transfer from the Grizzlies. Matthew Hurt tallied 25 points and eight rebounds. Timmy Allen notched his first double-double of the season finishing with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Adonis Arms contributed 18 points, six rebounds, seven assists and three steals.
Jermaine Samuels Jr. scored a career-high 38 points, while Nate Hinton posted a triple-double with 12 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists to pace the Vipers. Cam Whitmore and Darius Days both tallied 25 points. Jarrett Culver secured a double-double off the bench, contributing 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Rio Grande Valley led by as many as 20 points in the first half before Memphis closed the first half with a 13-4 run to cut the margin to 11. However, the Vipers started the second half by scoring the first six points as part of a 16-5 run to push their lead to 22.
The Hustle allowed 26 points off 20 turnovers and were outrebounded 58-49, with the Vipers scoring 28 second chance points.
The Hustle will begin a three-game road trip on Monday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. CT with a two-game set in Oklahoma City against the Blue.
