AUSTIN - The Austin Spurs (1-1) claimed victory over the Osceola Magic (0-2), 136-116, in their home opener at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on Sunday night.
Dominick Barlow led the Spurs with a career-high of 34 points on 11-of-24 from the field. Sir'Jabari Rice notched 20 points and dished out 7 assists while Kaleb Johnson chipped in 13 points.
Osceola jumped to a quick advantage and built a 35-25 lead after the first quarter. Austin came back and scored 34 points in the second period to trail by one point at the end of the first half, 59-60. The third quarter featured a Spurs 20-7 run with Barlow scoring 17 points in the frame alone to push Austin to a 96-80 lead. The Silver and Black kept the momentum going in the fourth to gain their first win of the season.
Brandon Williams led Osceola with 38 points on 10-of-19 from the field. Mac McClung added 25 points and 5 rebounds. Chris Walker claimed a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Magic.
