March 5, 2018 - NBA G League (G League)
Memphis Hustle News Release

The Memphis Hustle concluded its three-game trip out west with a 132-120 loss to the Santa Cruz Warriors Sunday Night at Kaiser Permanente Arena. Santa Cruz shot a blistering 61.7 (50-81 FG) percent from the field, a franchise-high for any Hustle opponent.

Memphis fell victim to another slow start as the Warriors raced out to a quick 12-0 lead and led by double digits for the majority of the first half. With the help of a franchise record 19 three-pointers, the Hustle cut the gap to as little as four (104-100) after a Dusty Hannahs three-pointer before Santa Cruz went on a 19-8 run to extend the lead back to 15 (123-108) with 4:35 remaining in the game.

All five Hustle starters reached double figures for the second straight game, with Omari Johnson and Hannahs (6-7 3P) teaming up for 22 points apiece. Johnson (5-9 3P) also led the Hustle with eight rebounds and is averaging 26.0 points and 10.4 rebounds over his last five games. Marquis Teague (22 points, nine assists) had his second straight game with at least 20 points and nine assists. Jeremy Morgan (19 points), J.J. Frazier (15 points) and Austin Nichols (14 points) also turned in solid nights for the Hustle. Hannahs, Johnson and Morgan combined to shoot 15-of-22 (.682) from beyond the arc.

Three Warriors produced double-doubles, led by Quinn Cook's stellar 41 points (13-19 FG, 6-12 3P) and 10 assists. It was Cook's third 40-point game this season and the most by any Hustle opponent this season. Jeremy Pargo chipped in with 23 points (10-14 FG) and 10 assists. Damian Jones scored 18 points to go with a game-high 10 rebounds. Damion Lee posted 18 points off the bench while Warriors assignee Jordan Bell had a productive 14 points, six rebounds and five assists.
