Duluth Huskies News Release
The Duluth Huskies (16-11) beat the Willmar Stingers 10-1.
The Huskies came out of the gates with a bang, scoring 5 runs in the first inning. Dominic Miroglio started the scoring with a double that scored Danny Lee. Alex Greene scored thanks to a wild pitch. Elijah Dilday scored Dominic Miroglio. Colton Waltner followed up with a single that scored Wojciechowski, and to complete the inning Holden Cammack scored Elijah Dilday with a sacrifice fly.
The Stingers scored one in the 4th but the Huskies were too much, scoring another 4 runs in the 6th and another run in the 8th. Eric Morell pitched 4.1 innings while giving up only one run. Ryan Agnitsch came in relief for 1.2 innings and struck out 2 batters. Jordan Cummings pitched 2 solid innings and Josh McLaney pitched the 9th inning with one strikeout.
The Huskies will be back at Wade on Thursday the 25th for Bark in the Park and to take on the Alexandria Blue Anchors.
