Hurricanes Re-Assign Two

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Wednesday that the team has re-assigned defenseman Logan McCutcheon (04) and Dylan Ashe (02).

McCutcheon, 15, was drafted by the Hurricanes in the third round (60th overall) in the 2019 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. The product of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan made his WHL debut in the Hurricanes Dairy Queen Home Opener on Friday against the Medicine Hat Tigers. McCutcheon will report to the Saskatoon Contacts of the Saskatchewan Midget Hockey League.

Ashe, 17, was undrafted and signed by the Hurricanes in April of this year. The Warman, Saskatchewan product appeared in one pre-season game for the 'Canes going pointless with and even rating and four penalty minutes. Ashe is expected to join the Melfort Mustangs of the Saskatchewan Junior-A Hockey League.

The re-assignments of McCutcheon and Ashe trim the Hurricanes roster to 25 including two goaltenders, seven defenseman and 16 forwards.

The Hurricanes return to action Friday, September 27th when they welcome the Red Deer Rebels to the ENMAX Centre.
