
Hurricanes Blow past Hitmen 4-2

Calgary, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes scored three unanswered goals to defeat the Calgary Hitmen 4-2 on Sunday evening at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Colton Kroeker and Jordy Bellerive both recorded a goal and an assist for the Eastern Conference leading Hurricanes who tied the game late in the second period, then netted both third period markers. Andrew Nielsen and Carter Folk rounded out the scoring for Lethbridge who outshot Calgary 32-25.
Jordy Stallard and Matteo Gennaro both tallied their 15th goals on the season for the Hitmen.
The Hurricanes, now 3-1 against Calgary in the season series, also won the special teams battle going 2-7 on the powerplay while killing all three shorthanded situations.
The Hitmen, 32-21-1-2, are back on the ice Wednesday, Feb. 17 for the return match in Lethbridge (Sportsnet.ca/960 Alt Stream). It's also the start of a two-game road trip that will take Calgary to Medicine Hat on Friday, Feb. 19. The next Hitmen home game is Saturday, Feb. 20 against Lethbridge. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome for Hometown Heroes presented by Metro News.
