Hundreds of Harleys invade PGE Park Saturday night

WHAT: The Portland Beavers and Destination Harley-Davidson of Tigard are teaming up in an attempt to top their impressive first-pitch accomplishment of last season, when upwards of 300 Harleys converged on PGE Park for what was an "unofficial" world record. This year's record-breaking group will depart from Destination Harley-Davidson, located at 10770 S.W. Cascade Ave., in Tigard, Saturday afternoon at 5 p.m. on its way to PGE Park. The contingent will gather on the field at approximately 6:30 p.m. and combine for the ceremonial first pitch at approximately 6:45 p.m. before the Beavers game against the Las Vegas 51s.

All Harley riders are welcome to attend and are being offered $5.00 general admission tickets, with $2.00 per ticket going to Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland.

WHEN: Saturday, July 17.

WHERE

DEPARTURE: The mass of Harleys will depart at 5 p.m. from Destination Harley-Davidson; 10770 S.W. Cascade, Ave., Tigard, Ore. A police escort will accompany the riders on their journey to PGE Park.

ARRIVAL: The parade of Harleys is scheduled to arrive at PGE Park at 5:30 p.m. The riders will gather on a sectioned-off portion of Morrison Ave., between 18th and 20th Streets in front of PGE Park, before later taking the field.

FIRST PITCH: The first pitch will take place at approximately 6:45 p.m.
