
Humphreys Sparks Osprey to Home Victory

MISSOULA, MONT. - The Missoula Osprey (10-9) used a four-run sixth inning to topple the visiting Billings Mustangs (9-9) by a score of 6-3 in front of 1,495 fans at Ogren Park Allegiance Field. The Osprey knocked only two hits in the inning, but capitalized off four Mustang errors to take the lead for good. Tyler Humphreys was key in both scoring innings, with a two-run single in he second and a two-run double in the sixth inning for his four RBI on the night.
Missoula mound artist Markus Solbach (2-2) picked up his second win in as many starts with a strong finish. The righty lasted seven innings and retired the final ten batters he faced. Solbach gave up six hits and three earned runs with only one walk. His five strikeouts rose his season total to nineteen.
Missoula splits the four-game series with Billings with ten hits in the victory. Kevin Cron went 3-4 and Jake Mayers added another multi-hit game with a 2-3 showing.
Jency Solis delivered his second save of the season by facing the minimum in two innings of relief with one strikeout.
For Billings, starter Luke Moran went five innings and allowed six hits, two earned runs, a walk, and had a pair of strikeouts in a no-decision. Jordan Remer (0-1) took the loss with four unearned runs in the sixth inning.
