MONTGOMERY, AL - The Montgomery Biscuits (20-15) racked up 15 hits and rode a six-run third inning to a 9-1 win over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (20-15) on Wednesday Night at Riverwalk Stadium.

Montgomery has won seven of eight games against Pensacola and now has a share of first place with the Blue Wahoos in the South Division. The Biscuits have four straight wins.

Ben Peoples picked up his second win with five innings of one-run ball and five strikeouts. The right-hander allowed four hits and three walks.

The Biscuits brought 10 batters up in a six-run third inning and strung together six straight hits at one point. Tanner Murray doubled in two runs as part of a three-RBI night. Heriberto Hernandez ripped a run-scoring double to left field. The outfielder added two doubles to move to a league-leading 13 on the season.

Bob Seymour went 3-for-5 with a double and has seven hits in the first two games of the series. Dru Baker went 3-for-4 with an RBI on a sacrifice fly. The Biscuits racked up 15 hits to tie the club's season high.

Carson Williams hammered his fifth homer of the season to right field in the eighth to put the Biscuits ahead 8-1.

The third game of the series is on Thursday night at Riverwalk Stadium. Logan Workman will make the start for Montgomery while Valente Bellozo will start for Pensacola. The first pitch is at 6:35pm CT. Fans can listen on Sports Radio 740, MiLB First Pitch App, and Bally Live.
