Regina, SK - Ewan Huet made 38 saves for his first-career Western Hockey League shutout as the Regina Pats blanked the Calgary Hitmen 6-0 on Family Day Monday at the Brandt Centre.
Leading 1-0 after the opening frame, the home side took control in the second period, scoring five times including a pair of goals from Tye Spencer.
Zach Moore, Logan Peskett, Tanner Howe and Jaxsin Vaughan also found the back of the net for the Pats.
The Hitmen outshot Regina 38-28, including 17-7 in the third period, but were held off the scoreboard for the fifth time this season.
Today marked a personal milestone for Calgary's Pavel Bocharov who skated in his 200th career WHL regular season game.
The Hitmen have just one game remaining in this stretch of five straight on the road and it's back in Alberta to visit the Edmonton Oil Kings on Wednesday, Feb. 21 in an 11:00 a.m. MST start at Rogers Place. Calgary then returns home when the Wenatchee Wild make their first-ever visit to Scotiabank Saddledome for a 7:00 p.m. start on Friday, Feb. 23.
